Finally! After well reputed album "Devils" The 69 Eyes have released their new work called simply – "Angels".
Already "Devils" made their first step into the category named Skull Rock and asked about the future music movement of this popular Finns. And just when some thought that The 69 Eyes said what they had «Angels» leads listeners into one new world. Because "Angels" is world of rock'n'roll! Well known but discovered again world of glam rock and play with pure elements of Gothic Rock, voodoo sound and extraordinary energy in every note.
Album is produced by two great producers Hiili Hiilesmaa and Johnny Lee Michaels whose keyboard sections and percussion which significantly calming down, in the most positive way, guitar riffs on this album are more expressed then on the "Devils". There isn't any doubt; those two men did superior work again!
"Angels" is album with two faces. One hard rock represented by songs "Angels", "Rocker", "Perfect Skin", great "Los Angeles" and phenomenal "Frankenhooker" and that another gentle and romantic for which listeners a little longed after the album "Paris Kills" in songs "Never Say Die", "Ghost" where you can also hear Apocalyptica, "Wings And Hearts", "Star Of Faith" and "In My Name". Each song on "Angels" counteract to one on "Devils" so if "Hevioso" is deep under your skin on "Angels" it would be "Wings And Hearts", and if you the most number of times listened to "Sister Of Charity" this time it would probably be "Shadow Of Your Love".
This album is a perfect combination of everything what The 69 Eyes are. This extraordinary Finnish five is once again on their catchy and unmistaken way managed to put together all their influences from Elvis Presley to Guns n'Roses, from comics to cult horror movies into the most delightful music that will for countless number of time play with your emotions.
Jyrkis flawlessly deep vocals in combination with Apocalyptica in the song "Ghost" or 'heavy' in "Rocker", "Los Angeles" or "Frankenhooker" crystallized him in, at the moment without any competition, the best voice of Gothic and rock scene which is extra reason to pay your attention on "Angels".
