IMMORTELLE
L'Âme
Immortelle (French: immortal soul) is Austrian gothic
rock/electronic band. Bands main music characteristics
are club-friendly danceable notes, melancholy or deep
lyrics in German on English language. L'Âme Immortelle
is formed in 1996 by Thomas Rainer and Hannes Medwnitsch
and soon after that Sonja Kraushofer, vocalist and classmates
of Rainer, joined the band. Their first album, "Lieder
die wie Wunden bluten" which became very popular in German
Goth subculture was released in 1997 for MOS Records.
But still, the most important year in the story of this
very interesting band is 2004 when L'Âme Immortelle signed
for BMG/GUN and cooperated with Oomph! In song "Brennende
Liebe". This songs was followed by "5 Jahre" which with
its combination of Goth Rock and electronic elements conquered
fans of Gothic sound all over Europe and opened VIVA and
MTV doors to the band. First video that was shown on channels
of the most popular European and worldwide music programs
was "Stumme Schreie", single that followed "5 Jahre".
Recently, very successful album "Gezeiten" is succeed
by "Auf Deinen Scwingen" which like "Gezeiten", without
compromises and any deprivation of objectively proves
that L'Âme Immortelle is bright star on the gothic/electronic
music sky.
