DARKEST TOUR - FILTH FEST
MOONSPELL, CRADLE OF FILTH, TURISAS
Most famous bands of metal/gothic scene decided to visit Croatia, on part of their Darkest Tour - Filth Fest. Croatian audience will have chance to enjoy on 25th April in their musical creations.
CRADLE OF FILTH
Cradle of Filth is extreme metal (although there are big disscussions about genre) band, founded back in 1991. in small town Suffolk, England. Band that is inspired with gothic literature, poetry, mythology and horror movies consists of to all known Dani Filth - vocals, Paul Allender - guitar, Charles Hedger - guitar, Dave Pybus - bass guitar, Martin Marthus Skaropuka - drums, Sarah Jezebel Deve - backvocals, and Rosie Smith - Keyboards. Their first album was out in '94 under name The Principle of Evil Made Flesh (Cacophonus Records), and it was really different what COF today is, but it has still found its place 2006. on Metal Hammer's top 10 black metal albums list of the last 20 years. It is followed by album Dusk... and Her Embrace which is first their concept-album with vampirisme theme, inspired by Sheridan Le Fanu works. It that time, they gained attention of the public, because of their t-shirts that were offending to chatolic church. Next year their first video for song PanDaemonAeon was recorded, and EP From Cradle to Enslave came out along. Video consisted graphic nudity, and it was directed by Alex Chandon. Then comes their fourth album out Hallowe'en. Midian is based on Clive Barker novel "Cabal", and it had, same as Cruelty and the Beast guest narrator - Doug Bradley. Sony Records allows them to record an album with orchestra, that is why on Damnation and a Day Budapest Film Orchestra and Choir appears. In 2004. they go i Roadrunner Records, that is when their album Nymphetamine cames out, and it was the first non-comcept album, since The Principle of the Evil Made Flesh. After that comesTornography, and in 2008. they recorded their latest album Godspeed On The Devil's Thunder.

MOONSPELL
Moonspell is Protugeese black metal/gothic metal with elements of death/doom metal, founded in 1989. under name Morbid God. 1992. they changed their name in Moonspell, and that is when their first EP Under the Moonspell (1994.) came out, and just a year after their first studio album Wolfheart came out. Fernando Ribero, Miguel Gaspar, Rocardo Amorim, Pedro Paixao and Aires Pereira soon became most famous band from Portugal. They hit Portugeese charts with their album Sin/Pecado, and they were only metal band along with Metallica and Iron Maiden who made to Portugeese charts. 1995. their album Irreligious came out, which was produced by Waldermeron Sorychtom. This is when style change happens, so we could sa that they have from black metal turned to gothic meta. Album The Butterfly Effect was not so good accepted from metal critics. Darkness and Hope was out in 2001., produced by Hiili Hiilesmaa, who also produced Sentenced and HIM. Album entered German charts. With next album the book The Antidote came out, which was written by Jose Luis Peixoto. Playing at Rock in Rio Lisabon 2004., they gained bit attention from audience.
In 2006. Memorial came out, which went gold in Portugal with more than 10 000 sold copies, and that made them first metal band who achieved that. In 2006. they won MTV award for Best Portugeese Act.
Now they are coming to Zagreb for the third time to promote the latest studio release, the album "Night Eternal".

TURISAS
Turisas are Finnish Viking metal band from Hameenlina, founded in 1997., named after Finnish god of was. Their songs are combination of viking metal, folk metal and power metal with symphonic and progressive metal influence. When their first album "Battle metal" came out, Metall Hammer named their genre after the album. In 2007. their album "The Varangian Way" cames out. After problems and many substitutions, todays line-up is Jussi Wickstrom (guitar), Mathias Nygard (vocals), Tuomas Lehtonen (drums), Hannes Horma (bas guitar) and Olli Vanska (violin).
