THE 69 EYES
It's not a secret that this Finnish band is in the centre of an attention since the day they appeared in now pretty far year 1989.
That what is through all this year framework of their artistic creation is incredible levity in putting together everything what left a trace in their concept of the world - from Elvis Presley, The Misfits and Guns n' Roses to the kings of Gothic rock The Sisters Of Mercy, from comics to the cult movies - all this are The 69 Eyes!
From the first album "Bump And Grind" until this just released "Angels" band left behind tons of loud music, breaked bottles and everything else what is rock'n'roll. That's why it isn't surprising they steped in Europe in 1999 with their Gothic orientated album "Wasting The Dawn" (Roadrunner Records) and few years later, with previous album "Devils" (EMI/Virgin) also in the USA. Maybe the key song for that is "Lost Boys" inspired by the same named cult '80s vampire movie for which the video directed Bam Margera. What followed was three years long tour in 16 countries including Great Britain, Japan, Germany and Sweden while the end of the 2006 marked Jyrki69' comic book "Zombie Love".
The thing The 69 Eyes brings in 2007 is a dose of pure rock'n'roll with recognazible dark influences. Once again, album is produced by Hiilli Hiilesmaa and Johnny Lee Michaels who again hit straigh the center.
In expectation to see The 69 Eyes in Croatia, join the army of angels that will soon conquer Europe!
